A carton is simply a box which folds flat. In this section we deal with board cartons.

Board is the material which, for example, cereal packets are made from but cartons can easily be produced in a thicker, more substantial material in minimum runs of 500 pieces.

Some trade terms for this material are - sheet board, kraft board, chipboard both lined and unlined but in the public domain it is normally referred to as cardboard.

Cartons can also be produced in other materials such as clear acetate, polypropylene, pvc, corrugated board, and fluted board, more details on these to follow soon (or give us a call)

FOIL PRINTING

This is the simplest form of printing and is used for small runs and where only a logo is needed or a small amount of text.
In the pictures of the Coca-Cola and Vodafone cartons you will see examples of foil print.
Foil print can be done on almost any of our stock cartons and on any of our custom made cartons and in order to quote you we need:-

to see a copy of your artwork as a pdf file ( this is your design) in single colour, no shading.
The finished size of your artwork ( computers can distort sizes)
On which stock box you require printing
or..
.. the size of the carton you require .. L x W x H
Quantity required
Foil colour. Matt or Gloss . Red, blue, green, yellow, gold, silver, bronze, copper, black, and white , are the most popular.
When is the quote needed by and where would the cartons be delivered to.

PRINTING with INKS

This can be highly effective and can be very simple or highly colourful as our pictures will show.
We can only carry out this printing before the carton is produced with a minimum of 500 items.
In order to quote we need the following information;-

to see a copy of your artwork as a pdf file with all details of the print (ie shading, pantone colours etc)
the finished size of your artwork
the size of the required carton
what quantity
any preferred closures
base colour of carton (usually white)
when is the quote needed by and where would the cartons be delivered to.
